# Test Cards

Ending in 0 approves, ending in 1 to 9 declines (sandbox only)

When you test payments on the checkout pages and/or through the API endpoints, the credit card number you use determines whether the payment is approved or not. This lets you test both authorized and unauthorized card scenarios.

> 🚧 Sandbox only
>
> These cards only work in the [test environment](/docs/sandbox-en). In production the charge goes to the real acquirer, which declines these numbers.

## Card number (PAN)

The **last digit** of the card determines authorization or decline:

| Result | Card ending |
| --- | --- |
| ✅ Payment approved | **0** |
| ❌ Payment declined | **1 to 9** |

## CVV

For the **CVV**, any 3-digit number is accepted, for example: `123`.
