# Test Environment

To make it easier to build integrations with the NinePay platform, we offer a complete **sandbox** environment: a test API and a test Web Platform that simulate the behavior of the production environment.

> When you are given access to the sandbox environment, our team provides the `keys` to authenticate with the API (in the sandbox they start with `sk_hmlg_`; see [Authentication](/docs/authentication)), and the `username` and `password` to access the Dashboard. If you do not have this information yet, [ask our team](mailto:ti@ninepay.com.br).

# Sandbox API

The Sandbox API is where all API calls should be made while you develop and test your integration.

The details for accessing this API are documented in the [API Introduction](/docs/api-introduction).

# Sandbox Dashboard

The Sandbox Dashboard is the web platform connected to the Sandbox API for running tests. It shows the account's information and transactions in a graphical interface and lets you manage the whole account, such as creating payments, links, plans, etc.
